Balkan Percussion Duo

The collaboration between award-winning percussionists, Kiril Angelov and Ksenija Komljenović, began in Miami in 2015 when the two cooperated on several high-profile chamber music projects and recordings.

Balkan Percussion Duo was formed in 2017 and has, since then, had the inaugural performance on June 21, 2017 for International Music Day (La Fête de la Musique) at the Kolarac Concert Hall in Belgrade, Serbia and several performances in the United States. In February 2018, the duo won Second Prize at the prestigious International Percussion Competition Luxembourg. July of 2019 marked their Hong Kong debut. The duo's performance of Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D-Minor, BWV 565 (posted by ClassicFM), has had over 700,000 views on social media.

Balkan Percussion Duo embodies a union of two divergent players who share a common background. As a result, their distinctive musical tendencies and means of expression give a unique blend of sound.
